Washington's Chinatown Green St - a smart street concept

Watch Video

The American Society of Landscape Architects’ Chinatown Green Street demonstration project, in downtown Washington, D.C., is a testing ground for advanced “green,” “complete,” and “smart” street concepts.

This one-block project will tackle the pressing problems of stormwater runoff and pollution, energy inefficiency, and pedestrian safety. At the same time, it will enhance the vitality of the public realm and demonstrate the ability of cutting-edge green infrastructure to support the goals of property and business owners.
