Innovative solutions celebrated by the American Society of Landscape Architects
The World Landscape Architecture Month (WLAM) theme chosen for April this year by the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) is ‘Beyond Boundaries’ to convey “how landscape architects are breaking down barriers—whether physical, political, or cultural—to create innovative solutions for today”.
ASLA has started the month with a set of prompts (grouped below) and the World Landscape Architecture website has published 11 tips for celebrating WLAM.
On the eve of WLAM, the ASLA New York Chapter (ASLA-NY) has presented its 2025 Design Award Winners, juried by an interdisciplinary team of professionals from the ASLA Florida Chapter. Out of a record-high 94 submissions, the jury selected one Award of Excellence, eight Honor awards, and 20 Merit award winners - all available to view here.
